An active, fun filled camp. Learn tactics, strategy, offense and defense
of the Olympic sport of saber fencing. Developmental exercises, speed,
agility, timing, tempo all done in an interesting and fun fashion.
Fencing teaches focus, self-discipline, perseverance, co-ordination, balance
and creative problem solving and a host of wonderful life skills. Taught in
a positive, energetic environment that reinforces good sportsmanship and
self-esteem. Most important of all - it's fun!! Bring a snack and water bottle. Be sure to wear low athletic
shoes (very important), wear comfortable sweats or warm ups so you can move.

Advanced - Elite Saber Camp
August 9 - August 13, 2010
9 a.m. - 4 p.m Cost $300.00 members/$350.00
non-members, $50.00 non-refundable deposit required.
Mornings have fun warm up games that focus on speed, agility, footwork,
balance and creative problem solving. After lunch, group will
focus on advanced tactics, technique, drills, footwork, dvd World Cup or
World Championship analysis and round robin bouting. One morning field trip to laser tag or other activity
included. Bring your lunch. We provide chips,
vegetable sticks, fruit and dessert. Wear loose comfortable sweats or warm
up clothes, athletic shoes, bring a water bottle. Fencing knickers and
electric equipment required. Camp tournament on last is a rated event and
requires full USFA gear. There may be a limited amount of home-stays
available for out of town fencers on a first come first serve basis. Homestay fee: $150.00 (includes your meals and transportation to and from
camp each day.) There is a hotel within walking distance of the club that is
very reasonably priced,
